How do I know that I have been placed in a group?
There is nothing that you need to do if you are already connected to the live call and it is announced that Breakout groups will soon start. Our MaestroConference platform will place you in a group automatically. Sometimes, the facilitator will ring a bell to indicate that the group has begun; other times, the teacher will simply announce that groups are beginning. Then you will hear silence. This silence indicates that you have been moved from the large audience hall into a small virtual room with a few other people. Please introduce yourself and state your first name to initiate conversation; otherwise, your entire group might be waiting quietly and patiently for someone else to begin.
I lost my Breakout group:
Every once in a while, someone's line will drop from the call. Thus, it can be a good idea to write down the names of the people in your Breakout group. Then if your line drops, you can call right back and press '5' immediately to request of the person behind the scenes who comes to help you that you be added back into the group containing those particular people whose names you have written on your list. The chances that we will be able to meet this need are greater in smaller classes. During the large free calls, people who fall out of groups might simply be placed in the group with the fewest participants.
