Will I be able to access the medicinal plants featured in this program?
We will be studying plants from the Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Western Herbal Traditions. David will provide his trusted resources for these herbs and preparations.
You will not need access to all plants we study. Instead, you will be invited to build a home pharmacy with the herbal medicines that are best suited for you and your needs.
In some cases accessibility to herbs from the US is a problem outside the country; however, there are also many herbs that are easier to get outside of the US, so it works both ways. In general we will be studying and using herbs that are widely available everywhere, and we will be sharing sources in different countries as well.
You may also ask your fellow students for recommended resources in our program community group as we have a worldwide student population.
There are no requirements to work with live plants, but if you have them available you will learn the basics about preparing and using them. You will be able to use the plants in your garden and region, as long as you know the botanical identification and they are discussed in the classes.
May my enrollment be shared with a friend or family member?
No. We understand that it can be helpful to share with friends and family the meaningful insights, reflections, and revelations you experience during the program.
While we encourage you to share with others what you learn in the program, we ask that you do not share any of the program materials or anything from the Homepage or private Facebook Community Group.
Each person interested in participating in this program needs to have their own separate application and registration (even spouses).
We maintain this policy out of respect for our Faculty and to honor the contractual agreement with them. This program has been designed to replicate an in-person training as much as possible; therefore, each enrollment is designated for that participant.
___________________________________________________________________
Here is our full Spousal Sharing Policy:
The Shift Network is happy to offer our 2-for-1 special to spouses or partners living under the same roof for most of our foundational courses with the purchase of one full-price registration. (Spousal participation is offered at the sole discretion of the Shift Network and is subject to availability. Certain exclusions may apply. The Company reserves the right to change or cancel this policy at any time.)
However, we are unable to extend this offer to participants in any of our advanced-level or application contingent programs, such as Certification Programs, Immersion Programs, Coaching or Teacher Trainings, and any courses or programs involving 1:1 faculty coaching and mentoring sessions.
___________________________________________________________________
We appreciate your inquiry about this and your commitment to being in integrity. Thank you for not sharing any program materials!
How many people will be in this program?
In an effort to create an intimate learning environment and ensure that each person receives an abundance of rich learning and support, we are limiting the number of students in this program. There is no exact limit, and it is hard to say what the final number of students will be, particularly while the application period is still open. We carefully review all applications we receive to ensure there is a mutual fit. That being said, our previous certification programs typically have 200 enrolled students on average, to help give a sense of what to expect.
Is there an online community for this program?
Yes. Our exclusive online community (currently a Facebook group) is the perfect place to continue your discovery process after each class. Here, you can continue the discussion about your program materials and interact with your fellow students to take your exploration to an even deeper level.
How will I receive my certification?
A: After the program completes, students who have successfully completed all certification requirements will be emailed their certificate (60 day review period).
What are the technical requirements for this program?
As this is an online professional training, intermediate technical skills are required to participate fully in this program. Students are required to have a computer or other device and will be asked to use Zoom and complete online quizzes through our Student Portal. Students will need to feel comfortable with basic navigation on our website and opening/playing media and other files (logging in, finding class sessions and materials, playing recordings, opening PDF files, etc.). Important program information will regularly be sent via email, as well.
