Each student in our new private Community Groups has a Profile Card, which allows you to share contact information to connect privately or stay in touch with others.
You have full control over whether your card is visible, what contact details are shared, and who can see them — either the whole course community or only specific students.
Here's how to update your Profile Card:
📘 Log in to your Customer Access Portal.
- Click on the image or title of your course to go to its homepage.
- In the mid-page navigation menu, click the Course Community button.
🐾 If this is your first Community Group visit, you’ll be prompted to:
- Set a display name
- Choose an animal avatar 🐻🦉🦊
- Read and confirm the community guidelines
✏️ To Update Your Profile
- In the Community Group, click your profile icon in the top menu bar.
- Below your display name, you'll see your "Get in Touch Card".
- Decide if you'd like this card to be visible:
- Toggle OFF if you do not want it displayed
- Toggle ON if you'd like it to be visible to others 👁️

- For “Who can see your contact information?”, choose either:
- Everyone in the community – your contact info will be viewable by all members.
- Only people I select – your info will only be shared with specific people you choose 🔒)
- If you choose Only people I select:
- Click Add People to open a list of fellow students.
- Scan the list and check the box next to the names of those you’d like to share your info with.

- Under Contact Methods:
- Click Contact type to pick an option (e.g. Phone, Email, Facebook, Instagram, etc 📱✉️).
- Enter the information and click Add Contact.
- Repeat for each contact you’d like to include.
- To remove a contact later, click the red trash can icon 🗑️.

- Once you're done, click the Save Profile Card Settings button to finalize your updates 💾
Your contact information will now appear (for the people you've chosen) when someone clicks your name within the Community Group and views your Profile Card. You can always update this at any time.
