What if I can't attend sessions live?

Not to worry!

There are live Integration and Practice Pod sessions, but all Science & Theory, Practical Application, and Bonus Teaching sessions are pre-recorded (not live).

We have designed this program to work even for those with busy schedules, as well as for those that live in different time zones.

While we hope you’ll attend as many live Integration sessions as possible, you’ll be able to stream recordings at your convenience. You can watch them anytime and anywhere at your convenience.

All recordings will be accessed on the Program Homepage. Recordings typically become available within 48 hours, and written transcripts within one week. You have ongoing access to these materials.

Practice Pods are held live and, to protect participant privacy, recordings are not shared — but missing the live session doesn't mean missing out! Students who cannot attend live are encouraged to organize their own small group meeting at a separate time. You'll receive the same guidelines used in the live session, ensuring an equivalent experience. For those pursuing a certificate of completion, a short written reflection on your Practice Pod experience will be required.

Is it possible to audit the program if I love to learn, but don’t have a need for the Certificate of Completion?

Yes! This program will provide excellent learning for everyone who wishes to immerse themselves in this material. Auditing the program is an option for those who don’t feel the need for a Certificate of Completion. Program requirements would not apply; however, we encourage all participants to engage fully in the program and complete the requirements to gain the full benefit of the teachings. We particularly encourage all participants to join the live Integration Sessions and Practice Pods for connection, community, and integration.

Engaging in and participating in all aspects of this offering will help participants gain the full experience of the programs, inform them on whether to change to the certificate of completion track and ensure that a change to the certificate of completion track will go smoothly — and that catching up on all of the requirements and submissions will not be a heavy lift.

NOTE: the program price is the same, even if auditing.

Who is this program for?

The Sacred Sound Healer Certification is designed for individuals seeking to deepen their understanding and practice of sound healing as a holistic therapeutic modality.

It is ideal for those who wish to harness the transformative power of sound to promote healing, relaxation, and spiritual growth for themselves and others.

This program is especially beneficial for:

  • Sound healers and musicians who want to deepen their practice, strengthen their scientific understanding, and expand their facilitation skills
  • Wellness professionals integrating sound into clinical or holistic practices
  • Coaches, therapists, yoga teachers, and bodyworkers seeking deeper healing tools in their practice
  • Creatives and musicians exploring expression of sound as medicine
  • Spiritual seekers who feel called to explore sound as a path of expanded awareness and healing

What sets this program apart?

Unlike any other program, this certification integrates recorded teachings, live sessions, and guided practice — uniting sound-healing science, hands-on instrument work, and consciousness-based healing in a truly immersive training.

This is not surface-level training. Through weekly class teachings with world-renowned Sound Healing faculty, small-group Practice Pods, Live Integration Sessions, structured assignments, and a Capstone project, you’ll develop a well-rounded embodied skillset in a supportive learning community.

This Sacred Sound Healer Certification is also recognized by the International Sound Therapy Association (ISTA) as a Certified Education Program.

Will this program certify me to practice as a Sound Healer?

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon satisfaction of all program requirements. Program hours will be eligible for ISTA accreditation toward their 200-hour Certified Sound Practitioner (CSP) status.

This program is an ISTA-recognized Certified Education Program, and the 100 training hours earned qualify participants to apply for ISTA Professional Membership. These hours can also be applied toward ISTA’s 200-hour requirement for Certified Therapeutic Sound Practitioner (CSP) status and may be combined with additional approved training.

Participants will also receive live support during a dedicated session at the end of the program, where they’ll be guided through ISTA membership and how to apply their training hours toward certification.

Please note that to become a Certified Therapeutic Sound Practitioner (CSP), a total of 200 hours of approved sound healing training is required. This program provides 100 of those hours and may be combined with other qualifying education to meet that threshold.

What are Binaural Beats and how do they work?

Binaural beats are specific types of sound recordings that have been used for decades by a great many individuals for a variety of uses. Some users have reported that this technology has helped them to reduce their levels of stress, anxiety and pain, increase their focus and concentration, assist them to reach deeper meditative states or even enhance their creativity.

Although binaural beats are widely used and generally considered safe to use for most people, they may not be right for everyone. Before deciding whether or not you wish to use this optional technology, please read our guidelines for optional use of binaural guides here.

The Shift Network recommends that you always conduct your own research and consult with your healthcare provider(s) prior to engaging in a new regimen or practice.

What are the technical requirements for this program?

As this is an online professional training, intermediate technical skills are required to participate fully in this program. Students are required to have a computer or other device and will be asked to use Zoom and to complete online formative assessments and other written reflections and assignments (an iPad or smartphone may suffice, but we recommend a laptop or desktop computer). Students will need to feel comfortable with basic navigation on our website and opening/playing media and other files (logging in, finding class sessions and materials, playing recordings, opening, filling out, and submitting written work, etc.), as well as accessing an online Student Portal to submit and track program requirements. Important program information will regularly be sent via email, as well.
