How does an On-Demand Course differ from a Live Course?

Live Courses

Live courses are scheduled at specific times, allowing you to join sessions in real time. You’ll have the opportunity to engage directly with faculty and in some courses, participate in interactive breakout groups with other students. If you can’t make it to a live session, recordings are available on your Course Homepage within 24-48 hours, with transcripts added within one week.

Key benefits of live courses include:

  • Engagement with Faculty: Live Q&A sessions allow you to ask questions in real-time. If you miss the live session, you can still submit questions through the Course Homepage to be addressed in future Q&A sessions.
  • Engagement with Participants: If available, join breakout groups at the end of each live session and connect with your course community in a private Facebook group.

On-Demand Courses

On-demand courses are entirely pre-recorded video content, giving you instant access to all course materials once you enroll. These courses are designed for flexible, self-paced learning, with no scheduled live sessions or interactions. This option is ideal if you prefer to learn at your own pace without adhering to a specific schedule.

Key benefits of on-demand courses include:

  • Complete Flexibility: Access all materials whenever you’re ready to learn, with no set schedule.
  • Self-Directed Learning: Enjoy a streamlined experience, perfect for those who prefer independent study.

Both formats offer high-quality content and ongoing access to course materials, but live courses provide more opportunities for interaction, while on-demand courses allow for complete flexibility.
